Regular Play is a Waikato Role-Playing Guild event in which a selection of GMs have cooked up some short-term games that you can sign up for and play in. This ongoing event is aimed at people who are new to TRPGs; wanting to try out a new system; looking to meet new people; maybe can’t commit to a long-term campaign; want to get out of their #foreverDM rut; or don’t have a communal location to meet at; beginners and veteran role-players are welcome.

This booking is for the full cycle of play, not just the first night.  A cycle consists of a Session Zero (to set expectations, create characters, and discuss safety tools), followed by six typical sessions, and finally, an optional social event.  

Cycle 3 of 2025 is running Mondays only.

  • 14 July (Session 0), then 21/28 July and  4/11/18/25 August
  • Location - The Link Community Centre, 4 Te Aroha Street, Hamilton
  • Optional social on Monday, 1st September to chat about how the games went
